Finally Catching Up

I've been away for far too long!

And, a lot has happened. So, instead of apologizing and making excuses, I'll just bring you up to date!

I GOT A JOB!! :o)

I'm officially now a Preschool Teacher! Ahhh! (Hehe.) It's crazy and fun and amazing and stressful and challenging and wonderful all at the same time!

I have 15 two and three year olds! (And yes I have help! Couldn't manage without it!) They are all wonderful and crazy and I love them to pieces! Sometimes literally!

I've been loving my new church, Awakening! Click and check out my pastor's blog. I have been so challenged, and well, awakened, since I started journeying with that group! Totally different than any other church I've been a part of. They say you can't escape the politics...and so far, I rejoice that I have. We have our issues, and our struggles...but it's not ever been "political" like I've experienced in the past.

I'm borrowing my dad's old car...so it's been getting me around. It's old, but it works. God provides, and that's really all that I need to say about that!

This week I had a "traumatic" experience. I went to the eye doctor, because now that I have a job I finally have insurance again! And I had a lot of catching up to do, let me tell you! So I started with my eyes, because I've been making a pair of contacts that I was supposed to replace after 3 months of wear, last for 4 years. Let me tell you....DON'T EVER DO THAT! It doesn't end well!

When he did the test where you have to say which is better 1 or 2, now 3 or 4, etc... my right eye was pretty good...I mean I knew the prescription had changed, but it was pretty much the same routine. Well...my left eye was a different story. It had been hurting a lot lately, but I had (against my better judgment, since I didn't have any other options) put my contact in every day, no matter how bad it hurt. Well, now I'm paying for it. My cornea and my lids are inflamed. And when I did that "Which is better? test" the letters NEVER came into focus. No bueno! So, now I have glasses. Yuck. And it'll be awhile before I can wear contacts again.

So...don't be stupid like me! Go to the eye doctor!

I'm going to make efforts to get my blog back up to par! Promise!
